Fine dinning

La Kinta Very unique, elegant, fusion food. Located on Ave 5 between 2 and 4 This is a best pick for places to eat in Cozumel. The menu is not extensive but everything is very good. Chris and Bernardo run a great place and treat you like family. They have a wonderful garden in the back as well as indoor A/C seating. http://www.kintacozumel.com/ This is one of the few restaraunts in Cozumel where you might need a reservation. 987 869 0544

Pancho's Backyard Located on the waterfront at the corner of Calle 8, this is the finest Mexican food on the island. All the dishes are authentic Mexican delicacies and very good. Service is excellent and the setting really is Pancho's back yard.

Moderate Prices

Le Bistro Is located on the corner of Calle 7 with Avenida 5 south. It is an intimate place with a very personal touch. The building is one of the oldest on the island with a very rich history. The dishes are all unique. They use fresh ingedients and offer flavors that you won't find anywhere else on the island. Inside and outside seating with an excellent breakfast as well.
Al Pie del Carbon is Located on the corner of Calle 6 and Avenida 5 north. They have Argentinian cooking, grilled meats and a full bar. Outside/ inside seating is available. The specialty here is the wood grill which adds a wonderful flavor to the meats they perpare. Service is wonderful and although this is not a big place you can always get a table.

Local

Parrilla Mision is located on Avenida 30 between Calle 2 and 4. This is a locals' place to eat although a surprising number of tourists have now discovered this bargain. They have the best tortilla soup on the island and a wonderful margarita. From the wood grill here you will get a great variety of Mexican food including steaks and seafood. You can expect to pay $8-15 per person to eat here including drinks.

Los Garanones is located on Avenida Andres Quintana Roo between Calle 45 and 50. This is a great place to eat. Food is very inexpensive and very tasty. The tacos al pastor cost about .50 cents each and are to die for. They also have a full bar.

Otates Tacos Is located on Avenida 15 between Calle 1 and 3. Super cheap local tacos of all flavors and inexpensive cold beer.

Chilangos is located on the corner of Avenida 30 and Calle 3. Open only in the evenings, they specialize in huaraches which is like a big tostada on a fresh handmade corn tortilla. They are super yummy and only cost about $1.50 each. They also have the best fresh lemonade in town

CMC Located on Calle 1 between Avenida 50 and 55 872-1419 or 872-2919. It is closely affiliated with Miami hospital and English is spoken
Camara Hiperbarica English spoken, walk-ins welcome. Located on Calle 5 south just up the street from the waterfront. They have the some of the most experienced hyperbaric medicine specialists in the world here.
Clinica San Miguel This hospital is on Calle 6 between Avenida 10 and 5 south. This hospital is a little more expensive but still far less than anything you would pay in the States. Open 24 hours and walk-ins are welcome 987 872-0103

NIGHTLIFE

1.5 Tequila lounge Lounge chairs facing the ocean, techno music, Thursdays Ladies night.
Room Service 3 levels, techno and house music with DJ.
NoName Bar is located at the Barracuda hotel on the waterfront.  It has a swimming pool and snorkeling and swimming right in front with a swim up bar. They have a good menu too.  This place is especially fun with cruise ships in town as most of its patrons are crew from the ships.

SCUBA Equipment

Cozumel Scuba Repair is the one place we recommend for all your scuba repairs and purchases. It is a little hard to find on Calle 1 between Avenida 85 and 90 but worth it both it price and quality of work. Javier has all the tools needed to fix any scuba gear. They also offer gear storage for regular visitors to the island that don't want to haul their gear everytime they travel to Cozumel. (987) 869 8116

ACCOMMODATIONS

Fiesta Americana This hotel is a great place if you are looking for a great dive hotel. Located 10 min south of downtown they have a great pier for dive boat pickup and offer both an all inclusive package and normal hotel accomdations. Great views and a very reasonable price.

Condominium:

Na Ha 301 Located 1 mile north of town this is the finest place you could stay on the island. It has 3 bedrooms each with ocean view. It is superbly decorated and very luxurious. Wireless internet and free long distance calls are included. This place has all the amenities and is a great deal if you are looking for luxury in Cozumel.

Caribe Sunset is a nice little condo that is beautifully decorated and reasonably priced


Boutique hotels

Las Anclas Located on Avenida 5 south between Calle 3 and 5. This is the nicest little hotel on the island. Continental breakfast is included and you will feel like you are visiting a friend's place when you go. Beautiful setting and very reasonable price.

Caribe Blu This hotel is located on the water about 1 mile south of town. Recently renovated this is a great place for divers. Pier pickup is easy and they have a nice little restaurant on site. Great sunsets and not so big that it loses that home away from home feel.
